Chefs who dabble in the art of Cajun and Creole cooking know full well the power of the Holy Trinity. No, not that trio; rather, the otherworldly power of onion, celery, and bell pepper when melded together in a pot of bubbling goodness.
The Florida Cajun Zydeco Festival, Friday through Sunday at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, will allow you to pay homage at the altar of the holy trinity with a variety of authentic Louisiana eats like crawfish, gumbo, and jambalaya on the menu.
Two outdoor stages will be host a lineup of zydeco bands, giving attendees a chance to dance off some of that étouffée.
The festival runs 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, and the show goes on rain or shine. Tickets cost $20 for a one-day pass or $35 for the entire weekend.
