A lot of patrons frequent Sloan’s (112 Clematis St., West Palm Beach, 561-833-3335) for its roughly 30 flavors of gourmet ice cream. Some like to check out the four shades of sorbet, the three types of yogurt, or the soup of the day. And a few even go for the made-to-order crepes. But I gotta admit, I gravitate toward the funky bathrooms. Though the restroom doors in this postmodern ice cream parlor appear translucent, they become opaque when they’re locked, preventing anyone from seeing in. So if the urge hits while you’re there, don’t panic: The only goods on display are the ones in the cases.
