My sister and I used to call the last day of the weekend “Eating Sunday,” which means that we would stuff our faces all day long in anticipation of a fresh week of dieting. I’ve recovered from the binge-and-purge lifestyle, but I still enjoy the theory behind “Eating Sunday.” Lately I’ve decided that brunch at Creolina’s (209 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale, 954-524-2003), where virtually every day is Mardi Gras with all the restaurant’s themes of indulgence, is one of the best ways to kick off the feast. I can gorge myself on snapping turtle soup, eggs Benedict, and bananas Foster for dessert and still escape with a bill under $20. That leaves me in good shape — financially, if not physically — for dinner.
