Those are the Caribbean goodies you can receive through your power window at the new fast-food restaurant Island Grill (4003 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderdale Lakes, 954-717-1858). In addition to jerk chicken, which admittedly can make the dashboard a little tacky, owner Michael Lyn also dishes out some terrific guava cheesecake for you to consume in the comfort of your car’s air conditioning. The monetary cost of these treats is more than reasonable, and the slightly tighter seat belt is a small price to pay for such an authentic ethnic experience.
