Today is the eleventh day of the seventh month of the year of our lord twenty thirteen. In laymen’s terms that makes today 7/11, which sounds a lot of 7-Eleven.
What is everyone’s favorite thing about 7-Eleven? Slurpees.
The only better than a Slurpee is a free Slurpee.
To commemorate this annual alignment of the fates – and the company’s anniversary – 7-Eleven is Free Slurpee Day.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, you can go into any participating 7-Eleven and get a free 12 ounce Slurpee.
But this is 2013, so you know you are going to Tweet and Facebook all about your free Slurpee.
When you do so, Tweet it @Slurpee and make sure to use the hashtag #SlurpeeDance – because, yes, there’s a dance.
7-Eleven has enlisted “Youtube dancing phenomenon” Nathan Barnatt to choreograph this super easy, anyone-can-do-it dance for Slurpee Day.
Add to your enjoyment of your free icy beverage by taking a video of yourself doing said dance, uploading it to the internet, and then sharing it with the hashtag #SlurpeeDance. (If you could also tag @CleanPlateBPB we’d really appreciate that. Thanks.)
There’s also a motivational chinchilla named Pam. We’re not really sure what that’s about, but if we had a chinchilla, we would totally name her Pam.
