The deal: Half off beers, house wines, premium wells — $1 off all other cocktails (excluding premium wines).
The digs: Gay culture meets Jimmy Buffett at this gay-bar-cum-burger-joint. Dance music blasts from the speakers, and their accompanying videos play on flat screens while people mingle among the indoor/outdoor covered dining area.
Illumination is provided by a bevy of brightly colored paper lanterns. Beach balls, kept aloft by nets, line the ceiling -- seemingly ready for use at any moment. Ample seating is available at a table or at the bar. Grab a seat and have a frozen drink -- they're "Smokin' Hot" -- and order an "I Have to Order This to Make My Friends Feel Guitly... and Fat" salad or one of the specialty burgers like the "Miley Highclub" or the vegetarian "Ima Gardenia." In addition to the happy hour, there are daily drink specials.
The verdict: If you're craving a premium burger in a loud (in both the visual and auditory sense), festive, tropical environment, then Rosie's fits the bill. Swing on by and have a gay old time at a discounted price.
