The Hours: Weekdays, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.; 9 p.m. – close (on weekdays, this is 11 p.m.)
The Deets: Everything in the bar is half-price except for the Liquid Market menu (specialty drinks). Also half off is the “cravings” menu, which includes pad Thai chicken satay and ancho BBQ ribs.
The Scene: Inside, Zed451 has a nice, long, dark wood bar. Outside are couches with small lounge tables that create intimate cubby holes.
The Cost: The cravings menu is half off during happy hour. The best deal: sliders for $1.50 each.
The Verdict: The maple Cajun BLT slider was the
only highlight of the experience. For some reason, I never put the
sweetness of maple and the heat of Cajun spice together. They made it
work without being overpowering on either sweet or spicy.
The
Jack and Coke I ordered was served the way it should be: strong.
