Taking a cue from Seasons 52, the wildly popular chain restaurant in Boca, Chef John Belleme worked with Henry’s owner Burt Rapoport to shave fats and sugars, and devise a “spa” menu. On it are entrées that don’t blow the calorie budget — unless you get carried away and order two or three dishes — which happens. The dishes weigh in at 490 or fewer calories.
Lighter touches include Gulf shrimp and house cured veal bacon speidino, rosemary roasted Scottish salmon, herb roasted Australian lamb chops and free range chicken curry. A choice of Henry’s “magical” split pea soup, gazpacho of the day or a garden salad comes with them.
For the already-skinnies or Mrs. Sprats, there’s the regular
full-blown comfort food menu, with
the can’t-believe-it’s-turkey-mushroom meatloaf, or Thursday
Thanksgiving dinner, or calves liver, bacon and onions – a dish to put
a Weight Watcher devotee into apoplexy.
There’s also a list, however, of simply grilled meats and seafoods
with sides that if chosen well, could be considered lighter fare. In
short – options abound – and they aim to please here.
Look for the spa menu to be featured at Bogart’s, in the Cinemark movie theater – a sister restaurant in the Rapoport family.
