La Barraca Tapas Bar & Cafe in downtown Hollywood often strays outside of the drinking-and-dining-only formula for restaurants. Its live flamenco shows on weekend nights are a big draw and tonight the restaurant will explore other forms of art with a cocktail hour held in honor of Venezuelan artist Carlos Tirado.
The event, which kicks off at 8 p.m., will include sangria and small bites. Tirado will be honored for his work by LeConcierge Magazine during the event and will unveil his painting, “The Bull,” which will find a home in the restaurant. Some of the artist’s other works will be on sale during the event, said owner Jose Varela, who has helmed the restaurant for about six months.
