As if our holidays weren’t filled with enough pressure, Domestic Diva Martha Stewart has just nullified all our plans for making an adorable little gingerbread house, decorated with gumdrops and candy canes.

No longer is a simple Hansel and Gretel-style cookie cottage in vogue. Because Ms. Stewart has just forever upped the ante for edible real estate with her recreation of Downton Abbey in gingerbread.

Stewart created the likeness of the Grantham family home from just gingerbread, caramel, and icing in celebration of the return on the hit show to Masterpiece on PBS, beginning January 4, 2015.

If you want to make it yourself, Stewart does a thorough tutorial in a four-part You-Tube video series. You’re also encouraged to share your Downton-inspired creations using hashtag #GingerbreadAbbey. Here are all four steps, broken down from actually baking the dough to the creation of glowing amber-hued windows from caramel syrup.
