South Florida came late to the microbrewery trend, but we’ve got a fine array of local brewpubs. Skip the commercial brew and hit one of these local restaurants that feature taps of house-made beers.

Brewzzi

With two locations in West Palm Beach County, Brewzzi is the spot to watch sports, dish on Italian-American grub, and sip homebrews. The restaurants’ Boca Blonde and City Fest are among the most popular and have snagged national beer awards. Lunch and dinner feature huge portions, and

happy hour offers discounted drinks.

award-winning brewmasters change the rotation frequently, keeping the

microbatches fresh and intense with flavor. Opened in 1997 and known for

its generous portions of comfort food, Big Bear offers tours of the

brewery by reservation.

reason to order those shipped-in beers when the place brews up the likes

of the Floridian Hefeweizen, Passionfruit Wheat, and the Don’t Tell

Reese chocolate/peanut butter brown ale.

serious glassware that’s associated with each beer style. Aside from

the crafted seasonal brews and German fare, there’s also ample
