Make no mistake: Two Street Coffee Garage (209 SW Second Ave., Fort Lauderdale, 954-523-7191) ain’t your average mechanic’s hangout. But the brightly colored armchairs in this small, cozy coffeehouse are a good place to park yourself when you’ve had enough of Himmarshee Village nightlife or if you need a charge before the drive home. And despite the name, the joe here doesn’t taste like motor oil (as it does in some major chain I won’t mention since it’s not worth — ahem — star status). You can fuel yourself further with muffins and pastries, but best of all is the frequent driver’s card: Buy nine drinks, get your tenth free. Now that’s what I call a fine tune-up.
