Cuban fusion at its finest, this Atlantic Avenue haunt serves tapas-style plates of spicy beef turnovers, fried plantains filled with chicken sofrito, jerk chicken wings and vegetable fritters, and entrees heavy on colorful ingredients. There's saffron-scented rice and habanero-curry reduction, Peruvian purple potatoes, and Caribbean fruit-juice-marinated chicken. Cabana El Rey's sunny interior and a vibrant and comely staff make this space an easy stop along the Atlantic Avenue restaurant jaunt.
