Funky Buddha Lounge

Boca Raton may be known for catering to a more uppity — and gray-haired — crowd, but the Funky Buddha Lounge is everything but just that. Located in a nondescript strip plaza on Federal Highway, the only thing to catch your eye is the blue neon sign. Inside, you'll find a charming and cozy lounge to kick back with some friends, craft beer, and maybe a hookah. The space is dimly lit, the atmosphere laid-back, and the patrons reflect that chilled-out attitude. The smell of incense wafts through the air, and the burnt-sienna-colored walls are adorned in paintings and artwork from local creatives. Wooden tables and couches illuminated by candles fill the center of the room, while a bar takes up the back wall. An elevated stage sits on one end of the room and houses a variety of live music acts — touring and local — as well as open-mic participants. Whether a craft beer or kava is your choice of beverage, there is a menu packed with quite a variety of choices, as well as special in-house brew creations.
