Mr. Henrique Souza, originally from Brazil, has been exhibiting and sharing his views of the World though his creations, for over a decade. His works have adorned the galleries and high rises of New York. He has proudly shared the International Spot light with many of his fellow Brazilian Artists, as well as making his own “Waves” in the Art Basel exhibits of his new home town of Miami. Currently, Henrique has been diligently working on his “Life Long Dream”, the creation of a brick and mortar environment where Art, Artists of all types and levels, striving and working through their Artistic Journey, can meet, exhibit, and share a nurturing ambiance equally. Since its inception in October of 2013, House of Art, as he has chosen to call his gallery, has had a mélange of exhibits whose range have included the Industrial, avant-garde, hip, Mixed-Media, paintings, reclaimed Art sculptures, textiles, metal works, as well photographs both traditional and experimental. All have shared space and romanced the visitors. Artists such as Michel Hernandez have exhibited alongside the talented Children of Miami’s MAC, sharing knowledge as well as experience. Newcomers and tomorrows Superstars, as well as established Artists have all united under Souza’s House of Art. Henrique Souza is not only an accomplished Artist, versed in all of the mediums he exhibits, but he is also a humanitarian, entrepreneur, and teacher whose philanthropic spirit has blossomed through his many collaborations with Artists, Institutions, and Causes. His most recent endeavors have been several collaborations with the Miami Arts Charter School,. The students, ranging in the ages of 11 through 18, have exhibited and competed for exhibition “Spots” at House of Art for the up and coming Art Basel 2014. His “Walk on Mine” events, the collection of shoes for the Homeless of Miami, as well as for the LGBT Homeless Youth, have been groundbreaking for the community. Henrique Souza is Miami’s Renaissance Artist, Humanitarian and Philanthropist, who through the sharing of his Art, and wealth of knowledge, continues to influence how we see the future. Come and experience his vision, share in his discovery of International and Local talent, and the World we call Art.
