​Let's just get this out of the way first: Heidi absolutely, never, ever fails to straight-up kill it on the dancefloor. As one of the leading lights of the Get Physical label stable -- home of M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, et. al. - she was also their first female signing. This Berlin-by-way-of-Windsor-Ontario DJ may look sweet and blonde, but on the decks she is fierce, locking into a groove that is both machine-like and funky, and purely inescapable.

Heavy on fat basslines and hooks, her style, thanks to her place on Get Physical, is usually nominally called "electro-house." But it's more raw than that of many of her label mates, based on a soulful, underground vibe - a reminder for your ass that the word "house" music originally came from "warehouse."

When she's not wooing audiences worldwide at famous clubs like London's Fabric or Frankfurt's Cocoon, she's giving Annie Mac a run for her money as a host on BBC's Radio One. Heidi's show, In New DJs We Trust, features what it says, with plenty of guest appearances from legends-in-the-making like Damian Lazarus and Claude Von Stroke.
