Tipperary Pub

It's always funny to see the retro pubs -- this one has the coolest "cocktails" sign ever -- now touting Wi-Fi. This dark-wood and Irish-geegaw-decorated bar has it, though, along with some real Irish grub. Breakfast features Irish bacon, bangers, and blood pudding (imported from County Cork), omelets, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. It's bar food otherwise: wings, chicken fingers, cheese fries, burgers, and beer. Notable are the sandwiches - corned beef, fully loaded Italian sub, liverwurst, turkey, and a Philly cheese steak. There's a bargain black Angus strip steak, served with potatoes and veggies, for $9.95 - you can barely cook it at home for that. (Plus, you'd miss out on the jokes thrown out around the bar.) The entertainment includes two pool tables, darts, and a shuffleboard table. Occasionally, the friendly owner roasts a whole pig out on the back patio - call or check the website to see when he's doing it next. Happy hour is 4 to 8 p.m. daily.
