5. The Movement at Propoganda

8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Propoganda, 6 South J Street, Lake Worth, Visit Facebook. $10 advance, $15 at the door.

Reggae-rock quartet the Movement, comprised of members Joshua Swain, Jason "Smiles" Schmidt, Gary Jackson, and Alific, will be playing music reminiscient of the Pixies and Sublime. Guests Spred the Dub, Seagrape Souljahs, and Lake Worth Long Shots will be sharing Jamaican-inspired sounds with audience while DJ Needlez spins hip-hop. Talk about one love.

4. Kim Lenz and the Jaguars at Monterey Club

9 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Monterey Club, 2608 S Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale, Visit Facebook. $10 advance, $12 at the door.

According to others' speculations, Kim Lenz is somewhat of a female Elvis. With her retro red lips and sound, we hope she took that as a compliment. This rockabilly queen and her band of jaguars (not the cat kind) will be prowling the stage at Monterey Club tonight with surf rocking special guests Skinny Jimmy and the Stingrays (again, not the animal, we promise).

3. Craft Bazaar at Dada

9 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at Dada, 52 North Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach. Visit Facebook. No cover.

Held on the second Thursday of every month, one of the most tasty places to watch music, Dada, hosts a bazaar featuring crafts from local peeps. Get in touch with your artsy side or buy something homemade for Mother's Day. You can tell mom you made it yourself. No matter what, it'll be an upgrade from that macaroni doodle you made in second grade.

2. The Seduction of Shakespeare: A Burlesque Revue of Comedy & Tragedy

8 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Propaganda Lake Worth, 6 South J Street, Lake Worth. Visit Facebook. $5 cover.

What do boobies and Shakespeare have in common? More than you think, actually. Both will be shaking at Propoganda's Lake Worth on Saturday night in the form of a burlesque comedy show.

Stars of the stage, Ariel Amoure, Ruby Tesla Burlesque, Holly Peno, will be present as well as special guests Billy Butch and Butt Reynolds from the hairy and fantastic Hurly Burly Burlesque. As if that wasn't enough, ska-heavy locals Operative Me will be providing the music for this racy yet intellectual show.

1. Metal Show at Anonymous Guitars

8 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at Anonymous Guitars, 10778 NW 53 St., Sunrise. Visit Facebook. $8 cover.

Come on out and get your full weekend dose of furious metal with bands like Unmaskd Insurgency, 1000 Pounds of Thrust, Death and the Fall, Apocalyptic Assault, and Expanse. Take some Tylenol beforehand to prevent potential head-banging injuries.
