Adrenaline Mob at Revolution Live on May 19

Adrenaline Mob delivers what its name promises: a rush of heavy energy powered by raw guitar force. The New York-based group is, in fact, a metal supergroup. Singer Russell Allen has also fronted Symphony X, while guitarist Mike Orlando and drummer Mike Portnoy formerly played in Dream Theater. Because of this pedigree, Adrenaline Mob infuses its sound with heavy helpings of prog, full of sharp technical flourishes and artsy leanings. A self-titled EP, released late last year, served as an opening salvo, while the band's debut solo album, Omertà, arrived this past February, defining its sound.
