Adultnapper Plays Electric Pickle on Friday

Brooklyn-based DJ/producer Francis Harris a.k.a. Adultnapper has emerged in recent years as one of the most idiosyncratic and compelling producers of the international techno scene, a curious thing considering the man is a former punk-rocker who once admitted to hating dance music. His iconoclastic approach to EDM is more than evident in a sound marked by complex arrangements, weird haunting melodies and deep

moody atmospheres. In 2007 he established the Ransom Note imprint as a highly conceptual artistic platform, launching a series of releases with artwork following a sort of dystopic graphic novel narrative which imbues the Adultnapper persona with a shadowy mystique.

Widely acclaimed for his nuanced performances and command of dancefloors at some of the world's top venues, his live sets are deep, pulsating emotional journeys into the darker side of techno. Adultnapper is back in Miami for an exclusive set at Electric Pickle following his recent WMC performances, including headlining at this year's Sunday School for Degenerates. LINK residents Joaquin and Hardline will spin in support and should provide for a night of choice techno grooves.

Adultnapper. 10 p.m. Friday, April 9. Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami. 305-456-5613; electricpicklemiami.com
