Art Basel Music: Primary Flight/Blueprint for Space Afterparty at the Shore Club, December 2

Tomorrow, Miami New Times will bring you the full scoop on this year's edition of Primary Flight. But to summarize, it's one of the most interesting satellite happenings during this year's Art Basel Miami Beach extravaganza, a show that is literally at the street level. Starting today, you can check out the creme de la creme of street art -- Shepard Fairey, BooksIIII, and many more -- creating murals around Wynwood. (Click here for a map of the murals.)

A gallery show of smaller works by the artists will appear in a concurrent exhibition called Blue Print for Space, at the Art Center South Florida. Wednesday's opening reception for that is a star-studded affair which will include a charity auction of artist-designed headphones from Beats By Dr. Dre. Yes, that's Dre as in Doctor, and he'll be on hand at this massive afterparty at the Shore Club. All the cool kids will be there, with visuals by Peanut Butter Wolf and DJ sets by Fairey himself, as well as Art Loves Music performer Ebony Bones. Oh, and there's free food and an open bar all night. Thank the people at the Overthrow, and the bazillion other sponsors of this can't-miss event.
