Berlin Calling Premiere & Afterparty

It appears that the Berlinophile techno generation now has its very own Quadrophenia in the form of a new film called "Berlin Calling." Starring real life EDM producer Paul Kalkbrenner, the movie is a moral tragicomedy of sorts about a successful Berlin DJ (metaphorically named DJ Ikarus) who succumbs to the

effects of longtime drug use and is admitted into a psych ward on the cusp of releasing his greatest record. The film has garnered mixed reviews from critics so far, but none dispute its fantastic original techno soundtrack by Kalkbrenner which casts great light on contemporary German electronic music. "Berlin Calling" will premiere for the Miami International Film Festival this Saturday night at the Gusman Theater in downtown Miami, followed by an afterparty and live performance by Kalkbrenner at the Sagamore in Miami Beach.

Admission to the film screening AND afterparty is only $12, making this an unmissable Saturday night plan for techno heads. To get your tickets online click here.
