While everyone else in the world are trying to keep their chilly booties toasty, we're stripping down and cooling off in our mama's pool. It's hot, friends, and it's winter. To even mention global warming, with 80 degree weather dominating December and January, would mean to admit that the polar bears are fucked, and our houses'll be under water before the mortgages are paid off.

After watching former Bad Company's former singer Paul Rodgers, you may, for some funny reason start feeling like making love. One of the best singers of all time, according to the world via a Rolling Stone poll, this guy's gonna probably give some good singing gone, well hopefully, not bad.

This isn't your typical concert. Rather the practice of humming, Nadabrahma, or the perfect blissful sound, at Serenity Room is a healing musical occasion. The vibration'll open you up and turn you on... to the universe. Takes place every first and third Thursday of the month and it's guided by Ma Deva Trishna.

Tommy Castro's been around for over 25 years and he's still numbing the pain of his fans with his rhythm and blues. He, with the Painkillers, put out a 7-inch Greed/That's All I Got on Alligator Records, and they'll be playing at the Funky Biscuit in celebration of the release.

The distinguished honor of having of the best band names ever goes to Nag Champayons. These guys are hosting a psych jazz night at the Mystic Water Kava Bar where you can suck down a beverage that gets ya high, legally, and listen to music that basically does the same. The quartet promises to bring, "tropidelic afrogalactic grooves," and expect improvisation and live painting by Anya Nadal.

Every time Radio Active Records and Blindspot host their gory double feature extravaganza Splatter-Rama, things get nuts. Their Halloween event with Otto Von Schirach ended up in a blown out soundsystem. Maybe it's the blood, maybe it's the guts, but the movies and music make for a wild night. This time, they're going to bring back Hollywood surf rockers Beach Day, and screen Demons and Ilsa-She Wolf of the S.S. There's also a movie swap on the patio, food trucks, and free parking.
