Billy Joel to Perform at BB&T Center Announced Today

He didn't start the fire, but he'll make you feel a burn, a burning desire, even. The great Billy Joel, that is, for those born after 1995. He's coming to light BB&T Center aflame on January 7, and you'll be there, with your mama, your papa, and your cousin too.

The Piano Man took a few years off from playing live, but homeboy is back and raring to go. He hasn't played South Florida since 2009. So, this is kind of a big deal.

The prolific artist is also a do-gooder who just last week donated the proceeds from a sold out show to Long Island Cares and came out of hiding to perform for the victims of Hurricane Sandy at the 12-12-12 concert. Also notable, Joel will receive the pretty facny Kennedy Center Honor this December.

If you're an American Express cardmember, you can get tickets before the rest of us on Monday, October 28, 10 a.m. through Friday, November 1, 10 p.m. The next morning at 10 a.m., us peons can grab tix on ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
