County Grind made its way out to the little tattoo-shop-cum-tiki-hut-style watering hole next to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport last Friday for a stellar and memorable 954 musical showcase. Hosts of the inaugural monthly BLS954 affair, Black Locust Society, brought the Broward love with hip-hop artists Bleubird, Protoman, Gaps, and Jabrjaw and the ethereal beats and haunting vocals of Astrea Corporation.

Writer Brennan Forsyth acted as our ears on the scene, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring the ever-magical Bleeding Palm up from Miami to document the event through the prism of his artistic eye. Though Bleeding Palm has brought action to images in many contexts, mostly at noise and underground music shows, and once for the love of pot at Jared Cole's annual 420 party, this is one of the few times BP has caught and animated the 954 scene. We're happy to have been a catalyst in this beautiful broadening of cross-county collaborations.

Get ready to be transported into a silent world of images that somehow manage to visually scream, shout, rhyme, and dance with intensity and abandon.
