Cassadee Pope Wins The Voice Season 3, Just Like We Predicted

Here at County Grind, we never hate to say, "We told you so."

Especially when it comes to local talent.

Yesterday morning, before the season three finale of The Voice, we made the case for contestant and West Palm Beach native Cassadee Pope.

Because while other contestants may have delivered better performances or had more interesting backstories, "Cassadee's the babe."

Last night, the 23-year-old Hey Monday lead singer was crowned the victor after a two-hour marathon of star-studded live performances that featured everyone from Rihanna to Peter fucking Frampton.

The episode generated the most votes in the shows history, adding to the season's -- and Pope's -- already impressive stack of statistics and records.

Pope's first single -- a reprise of Blake Shelton's "Over You" -- was The Voice's biggest success to date, reaching number one on the iTunes chart by supplanting internet sensation PSY's previously inescapable "Gangnam Style." She also holds the record for longest tenure on the iTunes top 100 for her rendition of Keith Urban's "Stupid Boy," which was still on the charts the week after it was performed.
