Coldplay has unveiled a lengthy agenda of summer touring for the coming year, and it will bring the Mylo Xyloto show right here to the tip of Florida.

Chris Martin's band is still arguably one of the most popular in the world. Thus, it probably could have called its latest album almost anything and that segment of the population that buys about three CDs in a given year -- along with the latest from Taylor Swift and Josh Groban -- still would snap it up to hear "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall" drizzle into their ears.

Now, the ticket-buying public has its chance to again witness the live spectacle of Martin and company, which last tantalized one of New Times' most cynical listeners at Cruzan Amphitheatre in 2009.

As you can see, there's a sizable gap between the Miami date scheduled for June 29 and Coldplay's show in Atlanta on July 2. This could very well mean that one of the "additional dates to be announced soon" could be at BankAtlantic Center. So far, the band has not announced an opener for the tour.
