Wow! Another day of concert announcements without jam bands. Don't worry, they'll be back tomorrow. For today it's all about rock and roll. If you like your rock of the progressive persuasion, you'll be happy to hear Yes is coming to Boca on February 28. Yes is taking a page from the Journey school of lead singer replacement: Longtime front man Jon Anderson was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure last spring so the remaining members replaced him with Benoit David who'd been fronting a Yes tribute band. So if you're into this type of thing, the now permanent Yes lineup that will be showing up for their last tour date at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater on February 28th is: Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Benoit David, and Oliver Wakeman. Tickets aren't on sale just yet, but should be available by the end of the week through Ticketmaster.

Eric Clapton announced a few weeks back that he'd be teaming up with Jeff Beck for a few shows early next year. The music world let out a stifled yawn. But today, the news coming out of the Clapton camp is much more exciting. Once his mini tour with Mr. Beck is finished, Clapton is teaming with another rock legend and ratcheting up his tour schedule. If you show up to the BankAtlantic Center on March 11, waiting around to hear Clapton sing "Cocaine" and "After Midnight", you'll want to get there a little early so you can hear Roger Daltrey hammer out some tunes. I'm not sure how they figured who'd be opening each show, but it sounds like Daltrey might have lost a coin toss. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster soon.
