Crossfade: School of Seven Bells, Dead Meat, Kid Sister, and Deer Tick

So maybe Crossfade and County Grind are living separately, but our

split was completely amicable. Here are a few stories reported recently

via Miami's raddest music blog that we want to make sure our readers see.

  • School of Seven Bells: ethereal, gorgeous melodies featuring a dude from Secret Machines and On!Air!Library! alums Alejandra and Claudia Deheza. Why we care right now? Grand Central on October 16, dears.

  • Surfer Blood's J.P. Pitts was wearing a Dead Meat T-shirt (we need one!) during the band's recent performance in Miami, and the bromance continues via some of those MySpace/Twitter networks. The news: the Miami band will release a new 7-inch this fall via FSS.

KEEP NEW TIMES BROWARD-PALM BEACH FREE... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we'd like to keep it that way.
