dOP Plays Electric Pickle on Friday

dOP is the production/performance outfit of French multi-instrumentalists Damian Van de Sande, Clement Zemstov, and Jonathan Illel, whose eclectic individual backgrounds in jazz, hip-hop and rock have contributed to an idiosyncratic brand of live electronics. The quirky trio alighted on the international EDM scene in 2007 with the release of debut EP No Passeport on the German Milnor Modern imprint, followed by a steady slew of originals and remixes on labels like Circus Company, Get Physical, and Dirtybird and collaborations with the likes of Nôze, Catz 'n' Dogz, Guy Gerber, and DJ Koze.

Boasting an infectious organic blend of techno, microhouse and experimental electroacoustic studio wizardry, dOP put on intense and spirited live shows, driven by frontman Jonathan Illel's energetic MC-style vocals and stage antics. After their much-lauded WMC appearances dOP will be returning to Miami for an exclusive live performance at Electric Pickle on Friday and this one should provide a refreshing change of pace from the ubiquitous guest DJ set, although with that said, DJs Will Renuart and Jason Baez will also be warming up nicely on the decks!
