Fall Out Boy to Play Mizner Park Amphitheatre, April 21

The last time Fall Out Boy headlined in South Florida, it was for a gig with Gym Class Heroes and Plain White T's at the Fillmore Miami Beach, on Halloween 2007. That theater seemed like a smallish venue for them then, and thanks to both Pete Wentz' tabloid appearances, and an admittedly killer new album, Folie a Deux, the band has outgrown the theater circuit.

So when they return to South Florida, this time it'll be in Boca, at the Mizner Park Amphitheatre, on April 21. And it's a serious pop-punk extravaganza: supporting acts this time are Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station, and Hey Monday.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 31 at 10 a.m., exclusively through Live Nation via

or 877-598-8698. (Again, no more Ticketmaster for this venue.) They

cost $38.50, before service charges, and all tickets are general

admission -- i.e., ripe for screaming teenage pandemonium!

Rabid fans can also purchase tickets through Fall Out Boy's iPhone app,

which apparently uses some kind of GPS/social networking mashup for

fans to share reviews, photos, and so on.
