Fiona Apple Arrested for Hash; Will She Cancel Her Miami Show?

Looks like Fiona Apple has been a bad, bad, girl. And you can bet that she'll need a good defense lawyer since now she's really feeling like a criminal.

One week after her birthday, the singer's tour bus was searched during a routine stop at the Texas border. Unfortunately, Apple didn't learn from the mistakes of Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson -- both had prior arrests at the same Sierra Blanca checkpoint -- and was busted for possession of hash. The 35-year-old singer is currently being held in Hudspeth County Jail. On the upside, maybe her stint in county lockup will provide for some new album material?

The angsty singer is scheduled to perform at the Fillmore in Miami on September 30. That's only ten days away! Will she have to cancel the tour due to jail time? Or will everyone's favorite cranky '90s songstress beat the system?

Fiona Apple. 8 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Tickets cost $34.50 to $65.50 plus fees via livenation.com. All ages. Call 305-673-7300, or visit fillmoremb.com.
