Unless free tacos are involved, Tuesday is the most dreaded day of the workweek.
Think about it for a second: Monday marks the start of a new week. Wednesday is Hump Day. Thursday is Friday eve. And Friday, well, is Friday.
But every now and then, the music fairies sprinkle their pixie dust across South Florida and make live music appear out of nowhere on a Tuesday, much like tonight's show at Culture Room with Minus the Bear.
So celebrate the magic of raw, live tuneage and hit up SoFla's five best music events.
Minus the Bear.
Crash the "Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse," or Culture Room, as Seattle's Minus the Bear brings back the nostalgia of the early '00s to Fort Lauderdale. When asked how the band has changed in its over ten-year career, bassist Cory Murchy told New Times last week, “I think the biggest thing is that we’ve just remained friends and continued to grow. We’ve never been complacent with just writing the same record over again. So I think the desire to keep going has made a difference.”
There's no doubt tonight's show will be something you won't want to miss.
