In fact, a new Northern soul scene is flourishing right here at Lake Worth's Blue Front Bar-B-Que. The monthly dance party features limited release 45s of the '60s DJed by three fans of the genre. The kitchen stays open till 5 a.m., so after you sweat like James Brown, you can curb your hangover with some drunchies.

4. Artist Opening at The Brewhouse Gallery

Brewhouse Gallery's monthly celebration of resident artists takes place the last Thursday of each month. Dedicated to showcasing local artists, there will be a meet and greet, creative talks, complementary hors d'oeuvres, wine tasting, and more. Yes, you read that right -- free hors d'oeuvres and wine tasting.
And as R. Kelly said many times, "After the show it's the after-party," a very important element of any good night out. In this case, the after-party is an open mic night with live, local music. Stash away some free appetizers so you can simultaneously jam out and have some munches to chew on later.

Put your college drinking skills to the test by participating in the two boot chugging competitions along with two stein hoisting competitions. Jam and drink to live music from Mike Twang and 90 Miles to Cuba. Prost!

The streets of Fort Lauderdale will be packed with puppet fans and paraders celebrating Day of the Dead this weekend, but for those who want a more intimate feel for the Mexican celebration there's a get-together for you at Undergrounds Coffeehaus.
Open until 2 a.m., the event is called Strangecookie, and is all about dancing to synth wave and honoring those who've passed. It's definitely not your typical night out in Fort Laudy.

After all that partying this weekend, you're going to need to detox. C&I Studios hosts Yoga Sunday with instructor Hannah Weintraub. The class is called Slow Flow Hatha, which emphasizes deep stretching and meditation.
Don't worry if you fall out of your tree pose -- those with all levels of experience are welcomed for this relaxing exercise. Proceeds will go toward C&I Reach, a nonprofit organization that aids in the raising of funds and awareness for groups that work to make change on a global scale.
