5. Monterey at Kreepy Tiki

10 p.m., rock show at the Montery Club, 2608 S. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale. $5. Visit Facebook.

So, very recently, the newly revamped bar in Kreepy Tiki Tattoos in Fort Lauderdale started selling liquor. This is big news because nothing goes quite as well with rock and roll as whisky or vodka, or tequila, depending on what subgenre you're rocking out to. Anyway, tonight you can suck down some booze to the sounds of: Hinesight from Texas, West Palm's Amplifier Orgy, FTL's Fantastic 5, and Miami's Fulltime Motherfucker. Get crunk.

4. Jack Stevens Memorial Show at Revolution Live

6:30 p.m., Saturday, September 20, at Revolution Live, 100 SW Third Ave., Fort Lauderdale. $5 cover. Visit Facebook.

This Saturday, Revolution will host a night of intense rock and roll for just a mere 5 dollars. And for those five dollars, five bands will pay honor to the late Jack Stevens who passed away just last summer. This includes the Bell Ringers, Jolly Badfellow, the Lived, Artisan Soul, and, of course, the Jack Stevens Band. Come celebrate Stevens' life with his loved ones and music.

3. The Front: The Band That Time Forgot

The Front: The Band That Time Forgot, 8:30 p.m., Saturday, September 20, at Cinema Paradiso, 503 SE Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale. $10. With performances starting at 10 p.m. by Larry Joe Miller, Xela Zaid, Charlie Pickett, Ian Hammond, Riot Agents, Forte, and Surfer Pig. Visit FLIFF's website.

New Times recently spoke with Greg McLaughlin who created his own documentary about his former band, the Front. He described it as a "a no budget punk film," which is exactly what a punk film should be. To preview, he told us, "I am hoping that a new audience gets to hear the music. The band's story is like a lot of other bands in many ways -- all of it true, funny, and bittersweet."

Get out there tomorrow and learn a little about how cool this area of the country is, no matter what your shitty New York friends (who are probably from Iowa) say. There'll be live performances by a slew of local legends too to aid in your education.

2. Night Owl Market at Flagler Village

8 p.m., Saturday, September 20, at Peter Feldman Park at 310 NE 6 St., Fort Lauderdale. No cover. Visit Facebook.

What has over 15 food trucks, interactive art, live music, electric vehicle showcase, artists, craft marketplace, artisan green market, and more? Besides your wildest mom fantasy, Night Owl this Saturday at Flagler Village. And yes, it's very much real. If all that isn't enough to convince you, there will be free parking, free shuttle service, and, most importantly, free beer. Aside from wistful window shopping, this may be Fort Lauderdale's best bang for your buck to date.

1. Sunday Night Reggae Party
