This Saturday, Revolution will host a night of intense rock and roll for just a mere 5 dollars. And for those five dollars, five bands will pay honor to the late Jack Stevens who passed away just last summer. This includes the Bell Ringers, Jolly Badfellow, the Lived, Artisan Soul, and, of course, the Jack Stevens Band. Come celebrate Stevens' life with his loved ones and music.
3. The Front: The Band That Time Forgot

New Times recently spoke with Greg McLaughlin who created his own documentary about his former band, the Front. He described it as a "a no budget punk film," which is exactly what a punk film should be. To preview, he told us, "I am hoping that a new audience gets to hear the music. The band's story is like a lot of other bands in many ways -- all of it true, funny, and bittersweet."
Get out there tomorrow and learn a little about how cool this area of the country is, no matter what your shitty New York friends (who are probably from Iowa) say. There'll be live performances by a slew of local legends too to aid in your education.
