5. Rave Thursdays at Arabica Cafe

10 p.m., Thursday, March 20, at Arabica Cafe, 9054 W. State Rd. 84, Davie. Visit Facebook. No Cover.

You may not be able to afford partying at Ultra, but you can check out Arabica Cafe for some serious electronic beats. DJ Ron and Goon Cartel will be on the turntables, perpetuating the WMC vibe and providing enough trap, house, and dubstep to keep you smiling as your eardrums blow. Feel free, but not obligated, to don rave wear.

4. People, Shorty the Giant, Octo Gato, and Fuzzhound at City Pub

9:30 p.m., Thursday, March 20 at the City Pub, 956 S. Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach. Visit Facebook. 18 and over. $5 cover.

A $5 cover gets you hours of live music with four bands. That's only $1.25 per band when you think about it! But don't bother flipping over couch cushions or combing the beach for spare change -- a regular ol' $5 bill will do.

This indie night will get you swooning like a tween and falling back in love with la musica. People caries the torches of Bright Eyes and Pavement into the future. Shorty the Giant keeps things bluesy, Octo Gato's got the surf, and Fuzzhound brings the psych rock.

3. Anything But Clothes Party at Off the Hookah

10 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at Off the Hookah, 111 SW 2nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Visit Facebook. $10 admission.

Skip worrying about what designer threads you're going to wear to the club, because this party right here is all about being creative and cheap -- and kind of naked. Think Saran Wrap and tin foil when getting dressed. But make sure you don't wrap yourself up too tightly! When it's time to break the seal, you'll want to emerge from the WC still looking fine.

2. Raggy Monster Celebration Party at O'Shea's

9:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22 at O'shea's Irish Pub, 531 Clematis Street

West Palm Beach. Visit Facebook.

St. Paddy's Day may be over, but that doesn't mean you have to stop celebrating the Irish way. Swing by O'Shea's Saturday night to celebrate Raggy Monster's Kickstarter success. The band may be splitting up, but not before they party their bottoms off this weekend.

1. Joel DaSilva & The Midnight Howl Release Party

8 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at Bar Stache, 109 SW 2nd Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Visit Facebook. No cover.

The trio Midnight Howl and their leader singer Joel DaSilvia will be gracing the Stache stage this Thursday night by way of their CD release party. Their music consists of "half dump truck, half Mack truck, all soul" and plenty of high energy to pump up the crowd. Expect also a more mature Joel from when he first emerged on the scene. "I'm learning to trust my instincts now," the musician said when we sat down with him last year. "I've gotten more honest in my feelings and in my approach to my instrument." Confidence is sexy, Joel.
