Friday: Damián Schwartz at White Room

Friday's installment of PL0T at White Room presents Spanish minimal techno producer Damián Schwartz live, along with locals Basti and Sabox on decks. At 26, Schwartz has already established himself as a key player in the European minimal scene, with various releases on his own Mupa label, and garnered praise from some of the biggest names in techno. His avant-garde production style is marked by fluid jazzy harmonies delivered through a jagged spectrum of raw sequences, samples and frantic rhythms. "Music," states Schwartz on Mupa's website, "being the most abstract of arts... is the only one that can invade and fill spaces. Music floods, the same as water does." Check out Schwartz as he invades White Room on Friday and floods the dancefloor.

Friday, March 6 at White Room, 1306 N. Miami Ave., Miami. Doors open at 10 p.m., no cover before 11:11. Then $10 until 1 a.m., $15 after. Ages 18+ with ID. 305-995-5060,
