Godfather of Soul James Brown Talks About Godfather of the Miami Sound, Henry Stone

In this video, CNN's Larry King interviews James Brown and they talk about Henry Stone, the man who made Miami a global musical force. Stone was the first person to sign James Brown, and among the first people to record Ray Charles.

As a major distributor of black music in Miami, starting in the '50s, Henry Stone fed what became major worldwide hit records to stations like WMBM 1490 am. He also started TK Records, which introduced the world to stars like Latimore, Betty Wright, KC and The Sunshine Band, George McCrae.
