Jacuzzi Boys Added to Bruise Cruise 2011; Bruisers Forum Heats Up

The local allure of next year's Bruise Cruise Festival increases significantly with the addition of Miami's Jacuzzi Boys! This is quite a score for the fest, given the band's sunny garage-rock melodies and getting local musicians onto the boat departing from an area port. Will there ever be a better opportunity to actually share a jacuzzi with this band?

As mentioned previously, the February 25-28 indie-rock adventure aboard the Carnival Imagination features Black Lips, Vivian Girls, Thee Oh Sees, the Strange Boys, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Ty Segall, Turbo Fruits, and DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin. A vinyl series is also in the making with limited seven-inch albums featuring the featured players. Additionally, for those who can't foot the $615-per-head cost (now available as a Cruise Now and Pay Later feature), there's a February 24 kickoff show on dry land -- at Grand Central in Miami.

As is expected, several Bruise Cruisers looking for unsmelly cabinmates can be found in the "Single Bruisers" section of the Bruisers Forum. Although there's a common theme of "we won't be spending much time inside anyhow," there might never be a better shot to bunk up with someone who can appreciate John Dwyer's tenure with the Coachwhips or perhaps someone who wants to get wet with the Black Lips' Jared Swilley. No one has placed any Turbo Fruits-inspired "Naked With You" invites just yet.
