Johnny, Get Your Glam

Their roster reads like a gang of street thugs or super-antiheroes: Stunner. Dirty Dave. Crystal Van Hart. They've got the look to match, sexy, stoic, sweaty, and buttoned up to the nines. Their songs play out like proto-punk power-pop infused with a touch of Che and more than a little Bush-bashing. They are, of course, Pompano's own Friendly Fire, and you can be damned sure spending New Year's Eve with these three will leave you pounding your drinks and pumping your fists. But hopefully not at the same time.

Friendly Fire plays at 10 p.m. Saturday, December 31, at South Shores Tavern, 502 Lucerne Ave., Lake Worth. The show is free. Call 561-547-7656.
