Kiss die-hards don't ever need to prep for what is an inevitable daily immersion in their favorite band, but getting on a boat is something above and beyond. County Grind found out all about it when we tagged along for the inaugural Kiss Kruise this past October. Our complete coverage from the 2011 event is here, and now it's time to start thinking about next year, as the postcard below indicates.

Past Kiss Kruisers just received an email alerting us that the 2012 running of the musical cruise will take place at Halloween time next year -- and no one has any excuse to be ill-prepared for the inevitable costume contest.

Since October 31 falls on a Wednesday, it likely means that the boat will embark that day and return on Monday, November 5. Regardless, late October/early November is the time frame to keep in mind. We will update this posting with concrete dates, times, locations, and probably some tongue-wagging soon.

Keep New Times Broward-Palm Beach Free... Since we started New Times Broward-Palm Beach, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of South Florida, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
