Leader of the Mac

One of rock's original superstar divas can draw a crowd by just standing there, but to her credit, Stevie Nicks still performs with all her energy. I'd put my money down that Fleetwood Mac's enduring appeal relates to Nicks' charisma as a performer and her heartfelt facial contortions during delivery. As part of a summer tour that's garnered praise and in which she has often upstaged occasional bill participants (no disrespect to Don Henley, but maybe you should check into Hotel California), Nicks won't disappoint fans with a varied set list of Fleetwood standards like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon," as well as cuts from '01's Trouble in Shangri-La. So maybe Lindsey Buckingham has an ounce of charisma left in him somewhere, but damn, does Nicks still look good!

Stevie Nicks performs at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Office Depot Center, 1 Panthers Pkwy., Sunrise. Tickets range from $49.95 to $72.95 and are available through Ticketmaster. Call 954-835-8000.
