Lil Wayne is the Nostradamus of sports prognostication. And Weezy does it all from a jail cell in New York.

Three weeks ago, he mailed a handwritten letter (pictured below) to the editors of Sports Illustrated in which he breaks down the top tennis players competing in the U.S. Open. He also named the man and woman he thought would take the singles titles.

Turns out he was dead-on. He picked Rafael Nadal to win the men's bracket and Kim Clijsters to win the women's. Wayne knows his tennis.

His letter, written a week before the tournament on unlined SI letterhead, appears to have been created with the assistance of a ruler. He writes:

"I genuinely appreciate this opportunity to express my love for tennis," he begins. "One of the main reasons I enjoy the sport is because when I tried to play, it was unbelievably difficult."

Lil Wayne says he loves the Williams sisters, "adores" Maria Sharapova, and he's "a huge Nadal fan!" Wayne says he expects the Spaniard to win all four grand slam events this year.

He signs the letter: "Respectfully, Wayne."
