Lina Marquez Plays The Streets

I found this video of Lina Marquez playing the streets of South Beach. She performs there every Friday and Saturday at 13th and Ocean at 4 p.m. She hails originally from Barranquilla, Colombia. Her dad used to be embarassed to play his guitar in public, she took that as a lesson never to be ashamed to share her music with the world. Lina Marquez is an unsigned artist with an album available through CD Baby. You can find out more about Lina by clicking here and here.

Lyrics to her song "Empty Space" after the jump.

Don't know if I'm moving backwards
Or if I'm just caught up in the past
Don't know if you still care
You left in my heart an empty space

Don't pile up words
Cause you might choke
If you care say it now
If you regret it spit it out
Don't stand up until I'm done
Don't leave my teeth chewing air like before

Don't know if I miss you or
I miss a person filling some space
But if that were to be
You would've been replaced
If that were to be
I'd have a smile on my face

Don't pile up words
Cause you might choke
If you care say it now
If you regret it spit it out
Don't stand up until I'm done
Don't leave my teeth chewing air like before

Instead of finding solace in forgiveness
Instead of finding solace in remorse
We searched for dents on glass
We sank our bodies in quick sand
