Miami Bass Warriors on Pitbull's La Esquina, Blowfly on Chocolate News

MBW.jpgWho let these guys on TV all in one night? No clue, but they deserve a gold star for making the evening boob tube schedule just a little bit more full of major LOLs.

First up tonight, if you get Mun2 (actually, relatively few people do, so check your cable listings), check out La Esquina, the show hosted amusingly by Pitbull. He's showing love to fellow Calle Ocho/saguesera denizens by airing a video by the Miami Bass Warriors. If you don't know, that's a group comprising Crossfade/New Times favorites Jose El Rey, Otto von Schirach, and Jose's head of security, El Tigre. The video's for their local, uh, hit, "Going Back to Calle Ocho," and promises to be one of the classy, high-budget affairs for which El Rey is known.

La Esquina airs at 10 p.m., and if you don't get Mun2, you can stream the show online at

Right after that, at 10:30 p.m., switch to  Comedy Central to catch Chocolate News, which will feature an appearance by Miami's OG nasty superhero rapper, Blowfly. The Comedy Central site's description only lists that host David Alan Grier "learns about Blowfly, the world's first rapper". Whatever happens, rest assured it'll be equally surreal and probably bleep-riddled.

Okay, fellows, please be sure to put South Florida's best face forward ... hah! Viva Miami sleaze!
