Ross' all-star cast of DJs on the helm of this "timeless" mixtape include DJ Folk, DJ Got Now and Papa Smurf. The tape rolls out strongly with an ominous cut named "Veteran's Day". It's a collaboration between Ross, Birdman and the now-incarcerated Lil Wayne. From there, sprinkled all over the mixtape are various freestyles and remix verses from popular songs by Dirty Money, Waka Flocka Flame and Beyonce. Tons of unreleased music also unleashes itself on the tape - including "Cocaine Music" with Yo Gotti, and "Poppin' Bottles" with OJ Da Juiceman.
Now, the highlight of the mixtape has got to be "Mafia Music 2" featuring Chrisette Michelle. It is the first officially released song off Teflon Don and dubbed as the "street single". And even though it has already been widely released already, the song is just offers the perfect view into Ross' ability to choose incredible producers. It's the weighing preview into Teflon Don, which is the main purpose of the mixtape.
Whether you like him or not (as an artist or otherwise), Rick Ross is one of hip-hop's top lyricists and more interesting personas. His confident demeanor translates well on almost any beat he chooses to grace. And the A Timeless Audemars Piguet Collection mixtape is great evidence of that.
