In our Moving Units column, Mike Ramirez at Fort Lauderdale's Radio-Active Records graciously keeps us up-to-date and comments on the current releases flying out of his store each week.

To the right is the cover art for the debut Sleigh Bells album -- a work of post-post-postmodern, blown-out pop mastery that is as blisteringly loud as it is catchy. With Florida son Derek Miller buzz-sawing through guitar riffs, and Alexis Krauss' sweet voice coming on siren-style, this album is worth owning on CD. Not only because it sounds fantastic through a cheap pair of Pioneer speakers, coinciding with a car stereo that was installed prior to the formation of Miller's prior band, Poison the Well, but also because it's not yet available on wax.

Get some knowledge on the rest of the albums worth buying instead of a case of Miller High Life this summer after the jump.
