Boca Raton retro rockers Blond Fuzz, currently in the midst of filming a music video, keep churning up discussion prior to October’s release of Perfect Breakfast. Earlier this year, the Fuzz posted an unhinged take on the Velvet Underground, and here, we have a cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic “Proud Mary,” which was also popularized by Ike & Tina Turner. This interpretation seems to owe more to the Turners’ show intro and eventual kick into high gear, although singer Jordy Asher does make sure to get in a “keep on boinin'” early on.
