Let's dispose of too much discussion of how often you've listened to the Chemical Brothers in the past decade. The headliners of Sunday night at Ultra have probably been at their jobs longer than you've been at yours, and it shows.
Last year's Further was a career record, and the soundtrack Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands prepared for the thriller Hanna, in theaters April 8, shows they are still growing. "The Devil Is in the Beats" starts out piercing like a siren, an "Umbrella" beat comes in soon after, and then the whole thing sweetens up. Was this a result of some sort of Faustian pact? Listen and decide.
