MP3: Weird Wives Leak "Head Bugs" and Song About a Blanket

Weird Wives, the visceral art-punk princes of South Florida, unveiled two new songs via Surfer Blood's Twitter this morning. And there's evidence that at least one is from their upcoming LP. "Head Bugs" (download here) starts with some discordant thrusts and sneaks a progression that sounds a bit like "Fast Jabroni" at the 1:37 mark. The other song (download here), which is tagged as "Wet Blanket Mix2" or "Soft Blanket," thuds along while vocalist Nick Klein tests out his higher register for some unintelligibles -- less guitar noodling in this version compared to the "Wet Blanket" released a couple of months back. The Wives' live showing recently at Propaganda proves they're ready for public consumption -- Bruise Cruise, anyone?
